The  communique from NATO yesterday  reported that 6 NATO troops had been killed by roadside bombs. Four of them were from the Indiana National Guard. I assume when those four young men volunteered for the National Guard winding up in desolate Afghanistan was never in their minds. But, President Bush fouled up, he did not focus on economic development because he wanted to be the John Wayne of the Middle East and kill the bad men.

Four young Americans are dead on a day that reported six members of the military had died. Their names will be forgotten–except for family members–and no one will get around to investigating why they died. Sorry, All Is Not Quiet On The Eastern Front.

Once again, Baghdad was the scene of death and destruction as Sunni militants responded to being blocked out of government by blasting their Shiite enemies. Once again innocent civilians died due to bomb blasts. It was clear that bombs were set by Sunnis who are furious at actions of Maliki to arrest Sunni political leaders.

I wonder if George is still proud that American brought democracy to Iraq. I wonder how many Republican political leaders who hailed the invasion are now complaining that Iraq is not a democracy. I guess this is simply another example of failed Obama policies.

12.  Vote for a Republican because of anger over Obama or trust the president will finally display some balls.

An important question is why does Mr. Burkhart hate the USA? Here are some possible reasons:

1. He made the mistake of listening to Republicans discuss their ideas on domestic and world affairs.

2. He has relatives in Iraq who were forced to flee their country due to former President Bush.

3. He caught an episode of one of those Reality Shows!

4. He heard Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul discuss their version of American history.

5. He was out bear hunting with Sarah Palin and she mistook him for a bear.

Germany, which is in Europe and is one of those capitalist welfare states has an unemployment rate of 5.5%. Gee, I think most Americans would love to have that rate in this country. America now ranks behind virtually all European welfare states in life expectancy. As an 81 year old, please give we us some of that old time European welfare state life support.

Oh, as for taking form some and giving to others, I think Mitt might check out the Republican platform of welfare relief for impoverished Wall Street financiers.

Reggie was on a trip to New York City when he entered a subway station, became confused with the prospect of paying money to get on the subway and simply hopped over the turnstiles. 15. On June 23, 2012 not a single American will watch any TV show. The end of the world!

As I recall, Don an Dick  emphasized that oil would pay for the cost of war. I guess the dynamic trio of incompetents did not realize the US was paying for  China to make lots of money. China has us in debt and now they are collecting on the debt by using our soldiers to protect their oil people!!

Hopefully, the president has finally learned the only way to handle a bully is ti blacken his nose. The only way to defeat Republicans in 2012 is to take as stand for  poor people and the middle class. Let Republicans defend the wealthy, they will learn that most Americans these days are NOT in love with those who make millions. Obama should:

1. End Bush tax cuts.

2. Insist in the name of fairness the Social Security tax should include ALL wages, and not cease at $106,000.

Let Republicans scream but most Americans will applaud. In the end, the Republican party will blink.

We have heard for eight long years one denial after another about violation of the Geneva Conventions, about denial of any torture, but there WAS torture and to this day George Bush and his buddies deny what their collusion in this violation of human rights. Zenia Stampe, a spokesperson for the Danish Defense Ministry put it very clear about her nation’s participation in turning over prisoners to the Iraqis. “This again shows from A to Z there was something rotten about this war.”  Amen

There is something strange about the current Republican race. It comes down to which one of the empty headed people is the least empty headed. To state one likes a candidate without being able to specify why leaves Americans with less than hope in your choice.

Then again, George H.W. Bush thought that George Bush was a great choice for president. Perhaps, it is a case of like father like son.

Problems before departing:

1. The Taliban has safe havens in Pakistan and can simply wait for the last US?NATO troops to depart before returning to Afghanistan.

2. Will there be US “advisers” or will some US troops actually be engaged in fighting?

3. Will the corrupt regime of Hamid Karzai allow the semblance of a free election?

Let’s examine possible ways terrorists in America could cause mayhem and determine how –or if– the Patriot Act could prevent these scenarios.

1. A man or woman enters the NYC subway at rush hour, gets on the subway and pulls a gun and begins firing. There is no way to prevent this possibility.

2. A man or woman enters a Chicago Rapid Transit train wearing a suicide belt and blows self up. No way to prevent this from happening.

3. A man or woman damages a rail causing a train wreck.

4. Ten cars loaded with explosives halt on the George Washington bridge and explode.

I could go on forever with possibilities that could not be prevented by any act of

Congress.

However, if we examine terrorist actions in schools, one can gather important data.

1. Every case of mass school shooting has been carried out by white middle class Christian boys. There is not a single example of one being carried out by Muslims or Jews.

2. Check out recent mass murders by the Christian white boy in Norway.

3. Check out mass murders by Christian white boys in Germany and Finland.

Solutions:

1. Have the FBI infiltrate the Boys Scouts to find suspicious white boys.

2. Have the FBI visit Christian churches and inquire about suspicious white Christian boys.

3. Have the FBI make midnight raids on suspicious white Christian boys in their homes.

Or, we could lock up the entire white Christian population of the US and thus prevent future school shootings!!

The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission reports 1026 cases of violence against women during the second quarter of 2011. At this pace, such cases will exceed 3500 by the end of the year. Last year there were 2700 cases.

I assume American and NATO soldiers now know why they are fighting in Afghanistan.
