Jesse Thorsen is being charged with being in uniform at a Ron Paul rally and  faces discharge from the military. Accorind to Thorsen, “I am also surprised that Ron Paul, an Air Force officer and congressman for many years or his advisors who told me that they too served in the military, would not have explained to me  that wearing my uniform was a violation of regulations.”

The US militatary has repeatedly contacted the Ron Paul headquarters for information to no  avail. “Multiple attempts were made to contact Ron Paul campaign .. no one from the  campaign responded to inquiries.” Not only is Ron Paul ignorant about US economic history, but he apparently doesn’t even know about US military regulations!

The real issue is the attack on job creation by members of the Republican party. They oppose job creation that would emerge from rebuilding the infrastructure, hiring teachers, firemen, police, etc.. The armed forces are a Socialist entity in which the government runs  everything. Republicans have no problem with military Socialism, but they certainly do with civilian variations.

According to Stein, “just because I’m a Marine doesn’t mean I don’t have free speech or can’t say my personal opinion about the president or   othe public official just liek anybody else.” We suspect Sgt. Stein  lacks a grasp as to the reason for restrictions on the part of members of the military to become involved in  political affairs. The USA is among the few nations in the world which has never witnessed an attempt by the military to  take over the government. Sorry, if you join the  armed forces and are in uniform, then you do NOT have the right to say whatever is on your mind.

Governor Chris Christie became engaged in a debate with a former member of the SEALs over merging of colleges in New Jersey. William Brown was worried because his present law school offered many non-traditional students a chance to become lawyers and he feared the new Rowan University would not be so open. He asked the governor to reconsider the merger. Christie responded: “if you want to put on a show today, let me tell you something… after your graduate from law school, you conduct yourself like that in a court room, your rear end gonna get thrown in jail, you idiot!”

I doubt if chubby Christie could even get out of a boat used by SEALs. How dare he insult a man who risked his life for his country? The only risk taken by Christie is how many chocolate bars can he eat today.

Are these people crazy? A soldier charging up a hill under enemy fire is not necessarily the most rational person in the world. It is immaterial if Sergeant Peralta consciously or unconsciously gave up his life for comrades. Give the man his Medal of Honor!!

We suspect that drawing upon veterans who served in previous wars is a mistake. Those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan require counseling from those who also served in these areas. Iraq and Afghanistan are different wars and require counselors who understand those experiences of combat.

Those leaving the armed forces are now encountering a terrible time securing work. Members of the National Guard were forced to leave their jobs and go off for a few years. For some strange reason,former employers are not jumping for joy then they return and seek their former job.  Andy Lucindo left the service and began an MBA program. “I thought just as a military officer, an Army officer(captain) with mulitple tours under my belt,  that some of these firms would just be itching to get me in the door. That just wasn’t the case.”

I have a hunch that Mr. Lucindo did not pray hard enough in church and that is  why he encounters such difficult securing a good job. Of course, there is always returning to the military as an option. OOps, I forgot, they are going to reduce the size of the military!

I am speechless. One percent of Americans serve in the Armed Forces which protect the other 99%. Members of the Armed Forces do not hand out soup to the homeless or take care of the elderly, they actually risk their lives in order to serve the American community. Veterans return from service in Iraq and Afghanistan with PTSD. I have a hunch none of those performing community service in Powell, Wyoming will become stressed.

Apparently, being a resident, a war vet and owner of a business is not sufficient to prevent Oakland police from banging batons on one’s legs, then proceeding to upper parts of the body, and then allowing the victim to lay in pain for hours before being taken to a hospital.

Many vets enjoy the comradeship of buddies in combat, but once home that support is no longer available. The report emphasizes the importance of: making certain medical information is shared; encourage troops to freely discuss emotional issues in their lives, remove the stigma associated with admitting combat stress, and focus on preventive actions for those who are close to suicide.

There are men and women who are high risk and they need help immediately and long term. Unfortunately, we lack solid data as to the  number of members of the military who contemplate or discuss suicide. They live in lonely parts of their minds and the end result may well be death.

Several police approached this veteran of wars, told him to get the hell out of the area and when he was slow in moving, they hit him on the legs, arms, and back with a baton. He fell to the ground in pain, was dragged and then thrown in a police van. After several hours in the van, he was taken to jail. Mr.Sabehgi was in such pain that he actually crawled on the cell floor crying for help.

The bottom line is that a veteran of wars overseas wound up with a lacerated spleen, courtesy of Oakland occupying  police. Oh well, Veterans Day is this week. Little did we know veterans would be wounded in America!

The bottom line, as any Republican knows, is that Republicans begin wars and unless Democrats finish them up within ninety days, it then becomes “their war.” President Obama made it official by announcing the last American troops will be out of Iraq by the end of the year. He was unable to agree with Iraq demands that any personnel remaining in their nation would be subject to Iraq law. Frankly, no one in Washington D.C. wants to handle the prospect of an American soldier being charged under Sharia law.

So, good bye, good luck, and we don’t want to know anything about you–at least for another twenty-five years.

Bloomberg Markets magazine funded reporters in seven countries to dig up this story. Koch Industries insist their sales to Iran were legal.

I wonder what Tea Party supporters think about the Koch brothers who give them money and also give to the government of Iran?
