I am speechless. One percent of Americans serve in the Armed Forces which protect the other 99%. Members of the Armed Forces do not hand out soup to the homeless or take care of the elderly, they actually risk their lives in order to serve the American community. Veterans return from service in Iraq and Afghanistan with PTSD. I have a hunch none of those performing community service in Powell, Wyoming will become stressed.

Apparently, being a resident, a war vet and owner of a business is not sufficient to prevent Oakland police from banging batons on one’s legs, then proceeding to upper parts of the body, and then allowing the victim to lay in pain for hours before being taken to a hospital.

I assume there were moments when Mr. Sabeghi wished he was back in Iraq!

Does this wealthy spoiled brat have any evidence the Veterans Administration is providing inadequate health care? Does this wealthy SOB understand that veterans welcome going to the inexpensive VA facilities? Which private health care group can match Tricare in cost? Name one, you little coward!

Many vets enjoy the comradeship of buddies in combat, but once home that support is no longer available. The report emphasizes the importance of: making certain medical information is shared; encourage troops to freely discuss emotional issues in their lives, remove the stigma associated with admitting combat stress, and focus on preventive actions for those who are close to suicide.

There are men and women who are high risk and they need help immediately and long term. Unfortunately, we lack solid data as to the  number of members of the military who contemplate or discuss suicide. They live in lonely parts of their minds and the end result may well be death.

Several police approached this veteran of wars, told him to get the hell out of the area and when he was slow in moving, they hit him on the legs, arms, and back with a baton. He fell to the ground in pain, was dragged and then thrown in a police van. After several hours in the van, he was taken to jail. Mr.Sabehgi was in such pain that he actually crawled on the cell floor crying for help.

The bottom line is that a veteran of wars overseas wound up with a lacerated spleen, courtesy of Oakland occupying  police. Oh well, Veterans Day is this week. Little did we know veterans would be wounded in America!

The bottom line, as any Republican knows, is that Republicans begin wars and unless Democrats finish them up within ninety days, it then becomes “their war.” President Obama made it official by announcing the last American troops will be out of Iraq by the end of the year. He was unable to agree with Iraq demands that any personnel remaining in their nation would be subject to Iraq law. Frankly, no one in Washington D.C. wants to handle the prospect of an American soldier being charged under Sharia law.

So, good bye, good luck, and we don’t want to know anything about you–at least for another twenty-five years.

How best does one honor those who risked all for their country? The best way is to create a modern society in which equity is the ruling criteria of life. We must establish a nation which ensures there are good paying jobs and people enjoy the basic necessities of life. We need a nation in which education once again is affordable rather than a country in which one graduates with a high debt.

The reason men and women served and risked was to create an America in which the rich did not rule. We did not serve the interests of Wall Street, we served the entire nation.
