Of course during adolescent years we all do some dumb things, and we all regret those actions, but the key issue is “do we recall the hurts we did to others?” And, are we truly sorry for what transpired in the past. But, the essential issue is “did we learn from mistakes of the past?” Today, Mitt denies supporting women rights, he denies supporting gay rights, he denies being in support of healthcare for all. It is interesting that he never apologizes for denying what he did and never stands up for doing the right thing–years ago, that is. To stand up for  social justice is the mark of a real man–and a decent human being.

German businessmen are completely confused why American businessmen do not support national health insurance. In Europe, businessmen can produce cars without worrying about the large cost paid by American businessmen for worker health care. Americans now rank about 15th in life expectancy and more children die young than in  20 other nations.

Do any of them believe Jesus would have opposed health care for the poor??

I have placed a gun in my baby’s crib so that she can grow up loving guns. Of course, I place bullets in the gun since she has to learn early proper maintenance of guns. It is in Israel’s self interest to help forge a Middle Eastern Union modeled on that of the European Union. Such an organization will bring peace and stability to the region. Once in place, Israelis-Jews and Muslims–can have the peace they desire.

It protects the right of Chaplains to oppose gay rights. If a Chaplain–an officer in the Armed forces–does not like homosexuals, he does nto have to participate in any programs that educate soldiers about gay rights. It also compels the Armed Forces to “accomodate the conscience and sincerely held moral principles and religious beliefs of men of the Armed Forces concerning the appropriate and inappropriate expression of human sexuallity.”

Huh? If you are in the Armed forces and are told to work with gays, you work with gays. The same holds true for those who hate blacks, Hispanics, Jews, etc.. If you are a Chaplain then you cannot refuse to assist a gay person. How can a military function if each member decides who they will work with or not work with?
