Cut The Girls For God

The other day, having nothing better to do I pondered why the practice of mutilating young girls had emerged in several parts of the world. Obviously, most places in the world do not practice a process of mutilating females in order to make them less likely to engage in wanton sexuality with men. Female Genital Mutilation is practiced by in Muslim and Christian areas of Africa and the Middle East or in parts of Pakistan. Of course, it is not done to all girls. Since the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq seized control of northern Iraq, this issue has emerged as a possible threat to young Muslim females. There are reports that ISIS has issued a fatwa which will require all Muslim girls to undergo Female Genital Mutilation in order to “print immoral behavior.”

If cutting sexual organs prevents immoral sexual behavior then how come we don’t mutilate the penis? Oops, I forgot that we Jews, and many Muslims, do slice off a part of the penis. Me included! Funny, it never made me avoid sexual behavior. Heck, if there is an attractive female who wants to make out with this 83 year old Jewish old man, please see me– immediately!

However, there is no joke about subjecting young girls to such brutal behavior.

Say, Whatever Happened To Iraq??

During the past two weeks the world has been focused upon events in Ukraine and in Gaza. World leaders are issuing statements, making claims, offering advice and threatening action if the other side does or does not do something. As our gaze shifts to the Ukraine or to Gaza, our gaze does not shift to Iraq. Hey, remember, there is a war still going on in Iraq. We complain about leaders of Hamas, but what about leaders of the Iraq government? Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki continues to refuse any compromise with Sunni leaders, and has lost confidence of Kurd leaders in Iraq, and ISIS continues to hold large areas of northern Iraq. It amazes me how short is our attention span on any issue in the Middle East. From day one when President George Bush refused UN requests for more time to check out the presence of alleged Weapons of Mass Destruction, the American response to anything connected with Iraq is to blunder along without any logical policy.

Iraq is a greater mess than the situation in Gaza. It is a nation tottering on the brink of collapse. Is ISIS gains control of Iraq this means it possesses the money and power to engage in biological warfare as well as pursue a nuclear component. Is it possible for our State Department to focus on two issues -simultaneously??

How Not To Fight Terrorists

Every so often, in a moment of frustration, my mind lingers in memories of Saddam Hussein. He was a brutal, sadistic murderer who lacked any sense of morality. He was a hedonist whose concept of joy was witnessing the brutal murder of some innocent man or observing fear and horror on the face of a young woman being raped by his savage son. The invasion of Iraq DID end his reign of terror. Unfortunately, it introduced another reign of terror. The American government had five years in which to assist those seeking creation of a modern peaceful Iraq in which all, regardless of religious or non-religious belief could live in harmony and peace. There is no doubt Americans failed to meet any standard of success. We allowed a thug religious fanatic, Nouri al-Maliki to gain power. He inherited an Iraq in which his religious enemies-the Sunnis were cooperating with the US military in crushing al-Qaeda. So, what did Maliki do? Once in power, he proceeded to persecute, jail, and drive from any positions of power Sunnis who had worked to destroy al-Qaeda! Republicans want to blame President Obama for this fiasco. The madness began when President Bush was in power. Obama inherited still one more of the Bush mistakes.

Could Obama had done anything to prevent the tragedy that was to occur? No one knows the answer to that question. Perhaps, there was a moment in 2009 when he could have clamped down on Maliki. He never made any such attempt, most probably fearing it would result in armed response from Shiite groups. So, Maliki persecuted the Sunnis, he drove them into the arms of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria(ISIS). Naturally, Prime Minister Maliki would never accept responsibility for his blunders. So, now what is he doing? Maliki now charges the Kurds with cooperating with ISIS! The Kurdish army is protecting Shiites fleeing from ISIS. They are behaving as an ALLY of Maliki, but he is bent on making them an enemy!

Oh, fifty bodies found in a village south of Baghdad. No doubt the bodies are those of Sunnis. Shot in the head and left to die. The end result is more recruits for ISIS. Retain this man in power and soon all Iraqis will be recalling Saddam Hussein with fond memories of peace.

Caliph Of Doom Now In Mosul

I have a hunch there have been numerous meeting at headquarters of the CIA, NSA, and God knows which other agencies in our government that safe guard the nation with their phone taping and Internet surveillance in order to prevent Muslim terrorists to grow more powerful. I do not recall a single statement from guardian of the Internet or phones which referred to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria as a powerful threat to national security– at least not until the past two months. Yesterday, openly, in the city of Mosul a new Caliph was proclaimed who demanded obedience from all Muslims in the world. A spokesman for the Brookings Center sarcastically described what happened. “One of the most wanted men on earth was able to travel into the center of Mosul, give a 30 minute sermon in the most venerated mosque in the largest Arab center under control of the most notorious jihadist group of our time.” And, we Americans must be snooped on by agencies that spend untold billions on gathering “data.”

Ironically, Caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi demanded that al-Qaeda obey him from this moment on. He told leaders of al-Qaeda they now were under his control. Naturally, leaders of al-Qaeda told him to go to hell. In other words,al-Qaeda now seeks new allies. How about President Obama meeting with al-Qaeda leader Zawahiri and forming a new alliance? We can now all unite to fight the latest terror group– ISIS!

I guess George Bush was right: FINALLY-MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! We finally took down al-Qaeda by becoming its ally!!

IRAQ –Send In NRA And Tea Party!!

It has become increasingly clear as events unroll in Iraq that the only hope for survival of this nation is to send in the NRA and members of the Tea Party. Just imagine how General Ted Cruz would handle the situation in that nation that has arisen due to actions of Islamic militants? Just imagine if red blooded God fearing decent Americans were allowed to use their guns, and actually shoot men who also had guns? Just imagine what men who readily take care of defenseless deer would do to those barbaric Muslim fanatics?? I believe it is time for the whimp President Obama to step aside and allow men who understand how to fight, and who are patriots in the fight against terrorism to have an opportunity to carry out their beliefs in violence.

OK,there are a few problems such as Iraq Prime Minister Maliki who is to fighting terrorism as the NRA and
Tea Party are to fighting against poverty and national security. Whatever makes sense, simply do the opposite. OK, so Maliki is corrupt, so is the NRA and Tea Party. OK, so Maliki wants to stir up sectarian division within the nation, so do the NRÅ and Tea Party. OK, when it comes to actually solving any problem, Maliki will do the opposite. I believe this also fits members of the NRÅ and Tea Party.

Read the words of a Sunni Iraq political leader who wants his nation to address problems and solve them. Sunni MP Hamed al-Mudlaq: “We are at a crossroads with Maliki. We need to forget about sectarian divisions that are currently in place. Mr. Maliki has torn this country apart with religious and political sectarianism and corruption.”

Response of Mr. Maliki supporters: “What we are against is formation of a government outside the Constitution.” Spoken like a true NRA or Tea Party member!

Welcome To The Bush Caliphate!

I understand that George Bush is chopping wood in the state of Texas, but does he realize the dream of Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld has finally been achieved? Yes, Saddam Hussein is dead, yes, the brutal dictator no longer rules Iraq, but, no, the triumph is not the end of a dictatorship, but the creation of a new Muslim caliphate. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Bush and the dynamic duo of Cheney and Rumsfeld DID alter the face of the Middle East. Yes, they did end leadership of bad guys in the region. If ISIS was honest, it would hail the work of the Bush crowd and make them heroes in the history of Islam, these three men did more to ensure the triumph of the Caliphate than any Muslim insurgent. So, give them their place in history. Welcome to the new Bush Caliphate that has been declared by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria!!

According to its new ruler, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, “this is not the first border we will break, we will break other borders….There is no army in the world that can withstand the soldiers of Islam.” He promises to end Jewish control in Israel and send Jews fleeing. He also made clear to al-Qaeda their days are over. From now on, young Islamic terrorists no longer will take orders from the old men who run al-Qaeda. It is time for youth to be served. Today, the Middle East, tomorrow Europe, and the day after, Asia. His men are on the march and nothing can defeat these warriors of God. Oh, he wants to thank America for its gift of weapons and trucks they captured.

So George, chop away. You are now the hero of Middle East warriors, your dream has been fulfilled!!

The Forgotten Iraq People

Among the most under reported stories about the Bush/Cheny/Rumsfeld invasion of Iraq is how this blunder impacted the lives of Christians. Iraq Christians are among the oldest branch of this religion since they descend from Arabs who converted to the new religion hundreds of years prior to the arrival of the Muslim religion. Iraq Christians lived in peace under the regime of Saddam Hussein who regarded this group as loyal to him since they feared that if he left power, militant Islamics would seize power. Of course, this is exactly what happened due to the Bush invasion of Iraq. No one in his administration gave a single thought to the impact of ending Saddam and bringing in Islamic militants like Shiite Nouri Maliki. Of the estimated 1,000,000 Christians who were in Iraq when American troops entered in 2003, about 500,000 are still in the country. Most have fled to avoid persecution from the Islamic government installed by the “born again Christian” George Bush!

As Islamic terrorists head for Mosul and other areas in north Iraq, Christians are terrified. The city of Qaraqosh lies about forty miles from Mosul which is now controlled by ISIS. Fortunately, a Kurdish force of about 1,500 Peshmerga soldiers are now in the town and ready to defend Christians from slaughter by Muslim terrorists. I wonder how Fox News will report how the invasion they supported led to the deaths of thousands of Christians?

Bad Guys Now Good Guys

I do not know whether to report the following as “good news” or “bad news” but it certainly is interesting news. General Massoud Jazayeri, deputy chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces, you know, one of the bad guys according to the United States of America, came out with a battle plan to halt the Islamic State of Syria forces who currently are in Iraq. Latest reports reveal the ISIS is murdering Iraqi soldiers who surrender, and their compatriots in Syria just crucified a few men. Oh, it was not Jesus, not was it any person of the Jewish religion. Well, back to the story about Iranian generals, the men who head Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, top on our list of bad groups. General Jazayeri informed the Iraq government that he was prepared to develop a plan, based on the Syrian model, that will end the reign of ISIS terror. I trust the reader is clear–the guy we consider to be a “bad guy” is ready to assist the USA in defeating the bad guys currently in northern Iraq.

According to the Iranian general, he is ready to employ “our successful experiments in popular all-armed defense, the same strategy used against terror on the defensive–mobilizing masses in all ethnic groups.” Of course, the “terror groups” he was fighting were the terror groups we were supporting in Syria. It is now clear. The terror groups we oppose are now the terror groups we support and the end result will be triumph of the groups that we oppose. Please do not get confused. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. This is now AMERICAN FOREIGN POLICY. Clear?

The Face Of Evil In Iraq

I confess to being ignorant about the connection between face and God which is among the most vital relationships of radical Muslims. They insist that women must cover up their faces when out in public because to reveal a face somehow angers God. Why God worries about faces is beyond my way of thinking, but Muslim fanatics and even some Orthodox Jews are into insisting that women cover up their bodies. But, for some strange reason, it is OK for males to wander around without covered faces. Um Ban was a Muslim female who lived in Mosul. She ran a beauty salon from her house which made her suspect among ISIL warriors who conquered the city. Again, somehow, a woman who makes herself attractive is deemed a bad Muslim. On the other hand, males can care for their faces, but this does not annoy or anger the Big Up in the sky. One day, Ms. Ban opened the front door and found a large X painted on her front door.

She decided it was time to flee, because after the X would come the gun and death. She felt ISIL were “trying to frighten us with psychological warfare.” She gathered her family and fled to Baghdad. Heck, in my Orthodox shul(synagogue) women had to sit behind a screen so we males could not see their faces. Even as a boy, the entire thing about women never made sense. I wonder if when I get to heaven, women sit behind curtains and can not go to a beauty salon??

Grand Ayatollah Has Grand Idea

I confess that like most Americans encountering another tale about the nation of Iraq is the last thing on my mind. I am a New York Knickerbocker fan and the last time my team won the NBA title I was forty years younger so I do understand the meaning of futility. The past decade of my life has involved reading, watching, hearing and thinking about the nation of Iraq. There is no sense reviewing mistakes made in the past since we lack a time machine to return backwards and fix things so that events unfurl in some logical pattern of intelligence. Here we are in June, 2014–Iraq is a mess. Period. Anyway, the leader of Iraq Shiites has reached a similar conclusion–things are a mess.

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani has called upon all political leaders to come together and get rid of the world’s most incompetent Prime Minister–Nouri al-Maliki who created a disaster for his land. The Ayatollah wants political leaders from Shiites, Sunnis, and Kurds to meet and select a new prime minister who can bring groups together, reform a broken military, and defeat ISIS terrorists who are sweeping through the country. He hopes this meeting would be a “prelude to the political solution that everyone seeks at present.” Common sense words.

I realize that Dick Cheney blames Obama for the mess. Hey Dick, YOU were the guy who selected Maliki! In other words, you were the dick head for caused the present mess.
