Let’s Build A Wall!

Members of the Tea Party and the National Rifle Association want to construct a huge high fence along the border with Mexico in  order to keep out those hordes of Christians from pouring into this nation. Mitt insists if elected to build the highest fence known to the human race in order to prevent drugs or drug lords or illegal immigrants from entering and taking jobs away from decent Americans whom want to pick peaches and lettuce.

The Border Patrol has know uncovered at least 156 tunnels under our border, and some of these are sophisticated constructions. Just about every week another tunnel is found. These damn drug lords don’t understand that a high fence is going to appear in their lives. Of course, any drug lord could secure material that would allow a person to vault over the fence. In the mean time, they are simply going under the fence.

Build a fence and provide jobs for American workers–those who do not wish to pick strawberries.

Mexican Electoral Standoff

I was raised in the era when political bosses ran party machines. Of course, it was not as blatant as today when corporations purchase votes of members of Congress  with a “donation.” In my times, we voted the straight Democratic party line and in return obtained government jobs or assistance with criminal activities.  I must express admiration for Enrique Pena Nieto who “won” the recent presidential election in Mexico by receiving 38% of the vote to his nearest competitor who received 32%. Enrique makes American political bosses look like members of the Civic League for honesty in government.

Thousands of Mexican voters are rushing to their grocery store to transform the gift card received for voting the right way. Most will receive a gift of about $35, which is a lot more than any political boss I know would have paid for a vote!  Manuel Lopez Obrador, who came in second, is a bit upset. I wonder why?

Mexico Gets President, What Do Drug Lords Get??

The American people have a love affair with drugs, illegal ones, that is. They snort and sniffle and get high on drugs that come from far away countries in Asia or Latin America. Along the way of their high trips drug lords are getting even higher in income levels. So, what to do? The people of Mexico elected Enrique Nieto of the Institutional Revolutionary Party(IRP) which previously had ruled the  nation for decades. Mexicans are tired of having the American love affair ruin their right to love, freedom and peace.

Mr. Nieto has promised an end to corruption, to nepotism, and incompetence. Logic would lead to legalizing drugs in Mexico and telling Americans to get high with drugs from elsewhere. Enrique, surrender, seek  peace and seek an end to fighting drug lords by having the government become the all powerful drug lord. Sell drugs at low prices and tell America to end its lunacy.

Normal Day At Mexico Air Port

It was just another normal day at the Mexico City airport as travelers hurried to catch flights that would take them far away from the hectic life of people in this huge city. Mothers held babies in arms, men examined their lap tops for the latest stock quotes, pilots chatted with colleagues as they prepared to board their planes. It was a normal day, nothing extraordinary. A young man and a his girl friend argued and she ran away  tearful.

Three police officers walked over to two of their colleagues waiting in line to board a plane. The two men glanced at the approaching policemen. They reached into their pockets, drew guns and shot the three policemen. There was a flurry of excitement as shots rang out, but within moments things returned to normal. The two policemen fled, three bodies of policemen lay on the ground. Of course, the drugs being carried by the fleeing police remained secure.

The airport reported no interference with flights. People boarded planes. It was just another episode in the ongoing saga of drugs, criminals, police, and ordinary Mexicans. All planes departed on time.

Mitt-Restore Articles Of Confederation

There are times when one wonders if members of the Republican party ever took a course in American history. The Supreme Court ruled against several aspects of the Arizona STATE  law which violated those of the Federal government.  Mitt responded with his usual  ignorant take on American history. “I believe that each state has the duty–and the right– to secure our borders and preserve the rule of law, particularly when the federal government has failed to meet its responsibilities.”

1. Under the Articles of Confederation each state had the duty and right to secure its borders. Sorry Mitt, but the Articles are no longer the basis of our government.

2. If each state has the right to “secure our borders” then we would have 50 laws governing our borders.

3. Under the Obama administration–four years– TWICE AS MANY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS WERE SENT BACK TO MEXICO AS DURING THE EIGHT YEARS OF THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION. So, Mitt, how come you never denounced the Bush administration??

Issa Fast And Furious

Congressman Issa is fast becoming upset at Attorney General Eric Holder for refusing to give him something that was not in the 7,600 documents given. Issa admits there is no evidence of any cover up by President Obama over the botched government program to sell guns to Mexican drug lords in order to trace the route of the guns from the US  to Mexico. Apparently Operation Fast and Furious was anything but fast and furious when it comes to success. Holder argues agents initially gave him the wrong information, but he subsequently provided the Congressional Committee correct information.

Many years ago the people of New York City were blessed with Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia. His famous remark  that was uttered on more than one occasion was:”when I make a mistake, it’s a beaut.” End of problem. He freely admitted to  being wrong, the public loved his honesty and there was no Rep. Issa around who could have made a mountain out of a mole hill.

When will Barack Obama cease being the smart kid from Harvard and admit his shit does not stink any different from the rest of Americans? Just admit you made a mistake! This ridiculous incident continues and continues.

How about Rep. Issa conducting a study as to whether our gun laws allow Mexican drug lords to readily get weapons??

Romney Is Definitely For -Something About Immigrants

The one certainty when Mitt Romney speaks about any issue is that by the conclusion of his address it will require another talk in order to understand what he said the first time.  Mitt spoke about his ideas concerning illegal immigrants. We offer his statements:

1. He will “put in place my own long term solution that will supersede the president’s temporary measure.”
2. “I will prioritize measures that strengthen immigration and make  it easier. And I will address the policy of illegal immigration in a civil but resolute manner.”

3. He also wants to build a high tech fence on the border.

Sorry Mitt, but authorities already have identified at least 100 tunnels UNDERNEATH THE FENCE!

I assume all now understand that will do something in a resolute manner. And, what he will do has something to do with immigrants, illegal immigrants or whoever.

Operation Fast And Furious

Those involved in combating Mexican drug lords decided to  attempt a sting operation in which they would sell guns to drug folk in Mexico and follow the route of how the gun wound up in possession of big drug lords. Naturally, every sting operation is shared with the president of the United States or the Attorney General. Eric Holder apparently must know about every single raid made by those working in some capacity within the Justice Department.

This operation was known as Fast and Furious. Republican Darrell Issa has decided to institute his own Fast and Furious operation to catch anyone in the current  administration who has a subordinate who made a  mistake. Issa wants to hold Holder in contempt. Ah, the nation has huge debts, Republicans want to cut school aid, food stamps, but they will never cut out their silly season  of investigations over minor issues of life.

Blitzer Terms Trump Ridiculous!

Donal Trump is upset at CNN reporter Wolf Blitzer who noted that Donald’s Birther campaign had transformed the billionaire into a figure of ridicule. “Donald, you’re beginning to sound a little ridiculous. I have to tell you.” This infuriated the Great Man whose subordinates accept his ridiculous comments as words of wisdom. His response was awesome. “You are Wolf. Le me tell you something, I think you sound ridiculous.”

In fairness to the Great Man, let us offer his explanation. Hawaii newspapers in 1961 reported the birth of one, Barack Obama, as part of a plan to get this child who was born in Kenya American citizenship. “Many people put those announcements in because they wanted the benefit” of being an American.

I have it on good authority that Mitt Romney was born in Mexico where grandpa had a polygamy colony. The announcement of his birth in America was part of a Mormon conspiracy to get a Mormon elected president!

And, I am not being ridiculous.

Dream Act Has To Offer Dreams

The history of America is the story of immigrants coming from all parts of the  world, taking new roots in this country,  sending their children to school and witnessing them become Americans in every aspect of the word. But, for some interesting reason immigrants from Mexico are placed in another category. The term, “illegal” is all too often applied to them even though their journey to California or Arizona or New Mexico is simply returning to land that once was part of Mexico.

The proposed Dream Act would allow children whose parents brought them to America and have gone to school in this country to one day become American citizens. They speak English, they are American in every aspect from culture to music to education, but voices of bigotry apply a different place in our society to these young Americans. A Dream Act as proposed by Republicans is NOT a Dream Act unless the final piece is American citizenship.

Mitt Romney is not to be trusted because he will say one thing today and another tomorrow. The only Dream Act for him is becoming president.
