An Indonesian school administrator came across a video depicting two youngsters having sex and became infuriated. He proposed requiring virginity tests for all females in his school district. Fortunately, students and parents became aroused at this intrusion into the privacy of children. As one parent, Yeni, put it: “The test undermines female dignity. It should be rejected out of hand.”
I find it fascinating that only girls would be tested according to his proposal. Fortunately, wiser heads prevailed and this new assault on human rights was halted.
