Is The Endorsement An Audition?

Senator Hillary Clinton offered a gracious and complete support of Senator Barack Obama’s race for the presidency. She reviewed the historic message of her race which means that future primary campaigns will not regard as “remarkable” that a woman is running for president. Instead, that will be an “unremarkable” event just as it is now unremarkable that an African American can become president. Ms. Clinton, echoing the Obama message, said, “Yes We Can” work together for victory.

To many observers there was wonder if Senator Clinton, in addition to endorsing Obama, was she also letting him know a New York Senator was also available to be his running mate.
