People today tend to forget how Iraq terrorists initially obtain explosives that are using in creating the IEDs which wreck havoc on American trucks and tanks. As American troops swept across Iraq they had too few men to guard Iraq army arsenals. As the American press proudly gave hours of time to the liberation of Baghdad from Saddam Hussein, not a minute of prime time explained to the American public that insurgents were gleefully gathering up Iraq army shells and explosives.
The difficulty for American troops is every time they adjust tactics to find ways to defuse the IEDs, the enemy finds a new strategy to explode the weapon. All of this useless death could have been avoided if President Bush had listened to the Chief of Staff who wanted 400,000 men in the invasion in order to secure the area.
