Congress Demands Japanese Apology for Sex Slaves

The United States Congress is passing a resolution demanding Japan apologize for its World War II actions of enslavement of over 200,000 women who were used as sex slaves. Prime Minister Shinzo Abe stands by the 1993 statement of Japan in acknowledging there were sex slaves. Of course, the Japanese government has refused to pay compensation for its actions although a private foundation has paid out $20,000 to 285 women.

It is time Japan acknowledge its World War II brutality and pay honest compensation to women it abused. Germany has continually acknowledged the evil of the Holocaust and paid out billions in compensation. As of this date, the Japanese government has not paid out a penny. Oops, sorry, a private foundation did pay $20,000.
