Moscow police arrested 14 people for attempting to hold a cannabis culture parade in the city’s center. According to the police, “the detainees attempted to stage an unauthorized event and were promoting narcotics.” The Moscow city government has refused to allow “legalize marijuana” parades.
I am always confused when authority says that individuals cannot talk about or propagandize for drugs. As a person who never uses any drug unless told to do so by my doctor, I don’t understand why drug companies can spend billions persuading people to use drugs but ordinary individuals who want to use a drug are told they can’t even talk about it in public. Perhaps the Moscow city government can explain their stand to a Martian anthropologist who, anymore than myself, could grasp the difference between “good drugs” and “bad drugs.” A drug is a drug.
