No one can be particularly shocked at revelation the New York Police Department has been funded by the Federal government to spy on those of the Muslim faith. Over a $135 million have been spent to check on where Muslims in New York City shop, eat, go to the movies and other subversive activities. I am certain they check on books taken out of libraries. John Brennan, the chief adviser of President Obama on terrorism, hailed these police efforts as “heroic.”
I guess checking out what college students discuss on their Facebook pages does suggest a rather heroic attitude. Certainly, learning what New York Muslims purchase at the meat counter or which ice creams are purchased definitely will provide leads to who is a terrorist. The questions no one has posed are: “How many terrorists were arrested as a result of this massive surveillance? How many were convicted in a court of law for breaking any laws?
