The ongoing saga of Pakistan continues with still another charge against someone that he is guilty of corruption. Pakistan’s armed forces collude with the Taliban, corruption is found at virtually all levels of society. Honest secular leaders are murdered by those hired to protect them, and the army is furious that someone speaks publicly of its alliance with terrorist groups. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani threatened to resign if the Supreme Court insisted that he reopen cases of corruption that dealt with his administration.
Pakistan’s government, its armed forces and its judicial branch have numerous examples of corruption. If everyone who engaged in such activities was jailed then who would be left to run the army, the government or the courts? Why not simply make corruption legal and then everyone will be happy.
