The ongoing saga of terror continues impacting southern regions of Thailand. The southern region of this nation is mainly inhabited by Muslims while the overwhelming majority of people are of the Buddhist faith. Terrorists ambushed monks and bombed police stations. The Muslims claim their rights have been ignored for years and demand to have their voices be heard.
It always fascinates me how those claiming to have rights violated, particularly their religious demands, resort to attacking religious figures on the other side. One would hope if religious freedom is an issue that religious leaders in the opposing side will not be hurt. At the heart of all great religions is a belief in the sanctity of religion and the belief in avoiding killing the innocent. Southern Muslim terrorists continue ignoring this important ideal.
