Israel-Only Nation On Planet Earth Guilty Of Anything!!

Nobel Peace Laureate, Mairead Maguire accused Israel of “ethnic cleansing” policies in east Jerusalem where there are plans to tear down 90 Arab homes. “I believe the Israeli government policies are against international law, against human rights, against the dignity of the Palestinian people.” If the demolition policy is carried out about 1,500 people will be left homeless. It definitely is heartening that Ms. Maguire is taking a strong stand against ethnic cleansing and her defense of the 1,500 people is notable. Of course, at this very moment on planet Earth there are numerous examples of ethnic cleansing and one can only wonder why Ms. Maguire is only concerned about one– in Israel.

Let’s see:

In Darfur, at least 200,000 have been killed in ethnic cleansing and about one million forced to flee their homes.
In the Congo, five million are dead and millions forced to flee homes as invading armies conduct policies of death and destruction in order to drive people away from rich mineral sources.
In Myanmar a brutal army led government has been conducting ethnic cleaning against several groups.

Just one question, Ms. Maguire–given the death of 200,000 in Darfur or the death of thousands in Myanmar, why aren’t you speaking out about those ethnic cleansing? Oh, I forgot, there are no Jews involved in real ethnic cleansing. We all know that 1,500 people who have lost their homes is much worse than 200,000 who have died.

Let me make clear our opposition to Israel policies on the West Bank and in Jerusalem, but how about a sense of proportion. The MAIN ISSUE ABOUT ETHNIC CLEANSING AT THIS MOMENT IS IN DARFUR AND IT IS BEING CARRIED OUT BY MUSLIMS!

Darfur War Heated Up By Sudan Government Attacks

Darfur rebels accused the Sudan government of mounting massive new attacks in order to drive them from strongholds in the far north of the region. Three days ago the Sudan army driving in about 270 vehicles staged a ground assault on Atrun which forced members of the
Sudan Liberation Army to retreat. According to the SLA, there is a new and determined effort by the government of the Sudan to crush all rebel groups and assert its authority throughout the Darfur region. Ibrahim Al-Hillo from the SLA, said, “civilians in that area have fled. Government soldiers are shooting randomly in the areas. Civilians have been killed.

It appears the Sudan government has not abandoned its goal to ethnically clear out anyone in Darfur who might constitute a threat to the power of Sudan authorities. Rebel commanders claim Chinese oil workers have arrived in the region to begin oil exploration which is undoubtedly the goal of the Sudan government.

The tragedy of Darfur continues with thousands of innocent people killed, wounded or driven from their homes. Does anyone really care what happens to these people?

Bush Accepts Ethnic Cleansing As Iraq Solution

Investigative reporter Seymour Hersh told Der Spiegel that President Bush’s famous surge
is nothing more than a disguise to engage in an ethnic cleansing operation. “We have Balkanized Iraq” by building walls to separate Sunni from Shiite and Kurds from both of them. Hersh argues America under Bush deals with enemies by “Hitlerizing” them so Saddam Hussein who headed a nondescript army or Ahmadinejad who has scant control over Iranian armed forces are portrayed as capable of engaging in military operations akin to that of Adolf Hitler. The Nazi dictator controlled the most powerful army in the world which possessed the best tanks and a strong airforce. Two inept leaders whose armed forces could barely defeat a minor nation are being depicted by Bush as capable of damaging the interests of America.

Hersh casts blame on the American media for allowing Bush to sell them his pipe dreams and fail to do serious investigative studies of such things as the WMD. In particular, he things the New York Times failed to do their job. “They missed the biggest story of the time and they are going to have to live with it.” Hersh is doubtful if America has learned anything from the Iraq fiasco. “I have this theory in life that there is no learning. There is no learning curve. Everybody has to discover things for themselves.”
