The Times They Are A-Changing!

Joni Mitchell, at least that is her professional name, launched an attack on Bob Dylan (at least that is his professional name) accusing the noted singer of not being an honest individual, unlike, we assume, most folk singers. She told a reporter that “Bob is not authentic at all. He’s a plagiarist and his name and his voice are fake. Everything about bob is a deception.” There is no doubt Dylan is not really Dylan and his religion has changed with the times. Joni is right about his voice, it certainly has ranged all over the musical scale and his songs never seem to remain fixed in time and space. But, Joni, which musician has not changed, and, by change, we mean everything from name to voice to looks to songs?

Bob is as authentic as any singer and he deceives like all singers do, because that is who they are, entertainers playing on the stage of life.
