Was Khamenei Architect Of Election Fraud?

Bolhassan Banisadr, the initial president of Iran after the 1979 overthrow of the Shah, chatged that Ayatollah Khamenei was the guiding spirit behind the decision to steal the presidential election and then crack down on those opposing that decision. ‘Khamenei ordered the fraud in the presidential elections and the ensuing crackdown on protestors.” He charged that Khamenei seeks to use the military to maintain control of a theocracy and will use any power they possess to destroy opposition parties. “They don’t want Iranians to be able to even think about protests in their own homes” charged the former Iranian leader.

One would assume a religious leader might seek to play the role of the guiding force who is above those fighting, but Ayatollah Khamenei has been actively engaged in every aspect of the use of force against young people and those seeking a free Iran. There has been no moderation in the voice of Khamenei, not desire to reach out to youth, and certainly no attempt to compromise with those who believe the election was stolen.

Report Zimbabwe Army Orders Mugabe To Be Winner!

The Southwest Radio of Africa reports the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission(ZEC) within the next few hours will declare President Mugabe has won the election despite the fact he aonly obtained about 35% of the vote. Military leaders met in Zimbabwe earlier today and decided to instruct the ZEC to declare Mugabe the winner. This is being done despite evidence the Movement for Democratic Change(MDC) won a majority of parlamentay seats and its candidate is ahead in the presidential election with about 68% of the vote. The ZEC was given two to four hours to allow the millitary to deploy forces to crush any revolt or demonstrations by the people of Zimbabwe. The people of Zimbabwe are calling upon all nations to stand with them in fighting this blatant violation of democratic procedures.

Handel Mlilo, Chief Representative and Ralph Black, Deputy Chief Representative are prepared to talk with anyone seeking further information.

Election-Zimbabwe Style–Arrest Opposition!

Zimbabwe plice arrested opposition officials and a pilot who were delivering election materials for Saturday’s general election. Jameson Timba, wh is standing for parliament was seized by police as he accepted campaign materials. Earlier this month, the head of the Zimbabwe police vowed: “Western puppets would never rule.” He also made clear the police would crush any premature victory celebrations ahead of the official results. “Let me at the onset indicate that we will not brook any situations of chaos or conduct likely to cause a breach of peace, pandemonium, commotion, tumult or disturbances of peace.”

I believe his edict only applies to opposition supporters who did not receive the official announcement that President Mugabe has already won the election, but in the spirit of fair play he will go through the charade of making believe there is an honest electoral process. Hopefully, his willingness to show a desire to allow people to vote will not be interpreted to mean their vote actually counts for anything.
