NOBODY ASKED ME BUT

We present comments on the human condition from a 20 year old man trapped in a 79 year old body.

Obama has yet to master the art of explaining complex ideas with clarity.

A stranger to the area should never volunteer to offer directions.

Humans made a mistake when they abandoned bare feet for shoes.

No human has ever brought a car into a garage without being told something else is wrong with the car.

I wonder what is the record for being in the most gridlocks within a twenty four hour time period.

With the death of Ted Kennedy the old Irish politicians are disappearing from the scene.

Tea Party adherents lack American compassion and sense of community. They preach hate.

When a man nods at you, permission is given to speak with him.

Does Heaven have rapid transit systems or do we still have to drive a car?

People no longer use the expressions of “Johnny Reb” or “Yankee.” The Civil War is finally over.

Brad Pitt’s “Inglorious Bastards” must have a point other than violence. I guess the other point is making money.

Public toilets should have exotic aromas.

Educators believe starting school in August leads to more learning. The old adage of “less is more” applies. Let kids play.

So far Obama has been more a preacher than a teacher.

I never complain about having to wait a week to see a doctor. I am 79 and alive.

Expressions I Hope Never Again To Hear

In the modern world of media, one continually hears the same expression reported in a host of ways. Following are some expressions I could do well without ever again hearing.

“Obama’s plan is straight out of Nazi Germany. I know, I was in the Nazi party in Germany.”

‘I have a right to take my gun anywhere, anytime.”

“You have to admit that Sarah Palin is an exciting person.”

“I’m an American patriot, and you ain’t.”

“Let me again try explaining my health care program so everyone understands it.”

“We gave compassionate leave to the Lockerbie bomber because the man is suffering from cancer.”

“We Russians believe in the rule of law and order. I give the law and the people accept my orders.”

“God gave us Israel. Therefore, we Jews have the right to use any of this land and get Palestinians off it, after all, one can’t disobey God.”

“Man, I love dogs. I just like to bet on them.”

“Did I use steroids? That all depends on how you define what is a steroid. After all, an aspirin could be considered a steroid.” Continue reading

NOBODY ASKED ME BUT

Following are the comments on the human condition by a boy trapped in the body of a 78 year old man.

Nobody Asked Me But,

The Post Office is NOT supposed to make a profit. It is a public service like the armed forces!

I enjoy the Jon Stewart show but he simply does not grasp that his attempts to be cute fall flat. Groucho Marx, he is not.

I am still shocked at the idea there is sport news in the Wall Street Journal.

I am a bagel bigot. I can not become accustomed to Christians eating bagels. Bagels are reserved for Jews. Just ask God.

By mistake I paid for my AARP membership until 2016. If I die before, do I get a refund?

Every store advertises, “buy one, get one,” or “50% off.” If they can make a profit this way, how come we only got one last year and paid the full price?

One day before I die I will enter an eating establishment in which not a single person in on a cell phone. Then, I can die in peace.

Am I allowed to go over to a man who has finished the sport section of USA Today, and ask for it?

I never take my sunglasses if it is cloudy in the morning. Clouds change, not me.

I watched a video clip of Tea Party crazies shouting and insulting everyone. Then, I turned on Discovery channel and saw a group of chimpanzees yelling and screaming. Now, I know we ARE descended from chimpanzees.

I feel proud to be an American as I walk through a mall and see the diversity that is modern America.

Americans Respond To Tea Party Fascists

St. Louis was the scene of Tea Party Fascist thugs seeking to disrupt the process of discussion and debate. We print the following comments by St. Louis citizens who attended a meeting called by Congressman Russ Carnahan:

Marilyn Beck, Affton

“There was a large crowd in attendance with a vast number of individuals intent on disrupting what should have been a highly informative meeting about issues we all will have to face in our lives.
The pandemonium truly was a sight to behold. It all started with some people in the crowd making a mockery of the Pledge of Allegiance. It continued with outbursts from some in the crowd, talking over the speakers too many boos to count. Nazi salutes and name-calling. this all occurred while the speakers to to carry out the promised agenda.
It was clear that those who were disruptive were there only for that purpose. We have freedom of speech, but I suggest that the obstructionists who were at Thursday night’s meeting start thinking for themselves, turn off the talk radio and television and try to start an honest and true dialogue with their congressman. If they do, their voices will be heard and they won’t be just some voice yelling nonsense at a meeting.”

David Scott, St. Louis

“I attended the Russ Carnahan event August 6. I knew what to expect but was taken back by the outrageous display of anger. The crowd was driven by fear, paranoia and, in some cases, blatant racism. One man was carrying a shirt calling President Obama ‘just another bum begging for change.’
Despite the mob’s attempt to intimidate the crowd, a few of us stuck around and sane the same patriotic songs the ‘tea party’ sang. Telling us we were committing blasphemy they shouted, ‘God damn you to hell.’ Of which God were they speaking? God who commands us to to love one another and He loves us, to cast us to hell because we want universal health care?”

Tea Party supporters are the same type of too bit hooligan who flocked to the Nazi party and thought Adolf Hitler represented the voice of reason. They are the voices of hate and anger, not the voices of love and compassion which is characteristic of great American leaders. To those of us who seek a universal health care system, we welcome those with ideas on how to achieve that end.
