Mark Felt, who was second in command of the FBI in 1972, and later became the famous “Deep Throat” who revealed information about Watergate to investigative reporters, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, is now revealed to be the one who attempted to suppress the porn film, “Deep Throat.” FBI agents seized copies of the film, had negatives analyzed and interviewed actors, producers and even the messengers who carried reels to cinemas. There are 4,800 pages of information in FBI files about the film’s producer, Gerard Damiano. Just imagine, the American government devoted countless hours and employed dozens of agents to halt production of a porn film. Now, the world knows what the FBI will never really deal with crime when they have porn films to suppress.
At least the world knows the origin of the name Deep Throat.
