The economic and political horror engulfing Zimbabwe continues with no sign African leaders will do anything to help the people of that country. President Mugabe is an incompetent brutal ruler who physically crushes opponents and has wrecked the economy of a nation that many believe could have been an economic marvel. Chaos rules in a nation impacted by a 4,500% inflation rate and nothing is done to halt this madness.
Where are responsible African leaders? For years, Africans argued they had to get rid of European colonialism so they could rule themselves. After difficult struggles, Africans gained their independence, but the same men who led the fight against colonialism, remain silent when the tyrant is a fellow African. Isn’t it time for those supposed “leaders” to actually lead Africa?
