Again, Afghan War

For any American who is age 25 half of his/her life has been spent during a time when our military forces were fighting someplace in the wilds of Afghanistan. Afghan President Hamid Karzai had still another meeting with an American general to discuss the war that never ends. He once again complained about an air strike that killed at least 10 civilians, and, undoubtedly, another of those “militants” who were spotted by drone planes. Karzai wants an end to such air attacks.

There is no question any president of Afghanistan would be angry over repeated use of drones to murder suspects on the ground. There is no question such attacks will usually kill the innocent along with the guilty. There is no question that some of the “guilty”might just as well be “innocent.” There is also no question the major reason why the Taliban still exist is due to corruption and incompetence of Karzai and his merry band of crooks.
