American Fascination With Suicide

Tea Party stalwarts possess a fascination with the thought of rebellion and claim they simply are re-enacting the patriotism of 1776. Of course, those American patriots chose the course of war rather than the course of negotiations and peace with England. American society is headed for a leap from a cliff into the valley of death. 1776 patriots were fighting for their rights as Englishmen, Tea Party “patriots” are fighting for the rights of the top two percent of wealthy Americans. This struggle between Obama and Boehner revolves around the issue of a three percent rise in taxes for those possessing millions.

Congressional studies have revealed there is no correlation between tax rates and job creation. The decades of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s witnessed higher tax rates than today and the economy generated jobs at a higher rate than under lower tax rates. An individual who decides to commit suicide refuses to acknowledge there are solutions of problems other than death. Most Republicans in Congress would have thrived in WWII Japan where its leaders were willing to commit hair-kari in order to honor the emperor.

The emperor this time is anyone earning a million dollars a year.
