A recent survey made clear that both Republicans and Democrats in the United States want to see reductions in our military spending. It put to rest the myth of Republicans seeking to increase military spending and Democrats opposing such moves. 76% of those surveyed want to see lower military spending. The figures reveal minor differences among the two groups.
On the issue of Tricare health insurance, there is a difference. 52% of Republicans who are so gung ho for war want to double the premiums of Tricare while only 38% of Democrats favor such action. For all the false expression of patriotism by so many Republicans when it comes to supporting the health of those who served, guess which group says make them pay for risking their lives!
