An Eyptian Election

An  election if proceeding in Egypt due to demands from the Muslim Brotherhood and its man in government-President Morsi, that a constitution   written by a group of clerics should become the law of the land. Initial results  show that 56% approve the document although most in Cairo said, no. At least 43% are determined their nation will not be turned over to a bunch of religious zealots who want to impose sharia law upon those who want democratic law. So far, only about 33% of the population is voting.

The opposition National Salvation Front(NSF) insists voting was rigged by the government and that most Egyptians do not want clerical rule. The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights reported use of religious slogans and money being offered to those who vote, yes.  The Constitution of the United States was approved by all states due to compromises. A lesson for Egypt.
