Anonymous Hold Holds Up Veterans Programs

A Senate tradition allows any single senator to hold up action on a program because she/he has some objection and there is no need for the name to be released to the public. A package of improvements for female veterans that would provide more training for mental health, a pilot program to offer child care so that veterans who have children can find it easier in their lives to endure another deployment and a trial counseling program apparently upset some member of the US Senate. We can assume the culprit is a male who doesn’t approve of all these programs for women.

There is something immoral when young men and women have to place their lives at risk and a US Senator who is a coward and will not allow his/her name to be released is able to delay much needed benefits for those who have served their nation. We certainly know there is one person in the US Senate who is not willing to serve his nation.
