The government of Iran supplies weapons to armed rebels and terrorists throughout the world as part of a campaign to disrupt functioning of governments. A group of Iranian pilgrims were on a trip to Syria where they hoped to visit a Shiite shrine. Once they left Damascus airport, armed rebels seized the group. Iran’s foreign minister sent a message to Turkey urging it to assist helping free the pilgrims.
As I recall, three Americans hikers were seized by Iranian border police and they spent months in jail before finally being released. Why is it that those who kidnap and abuse others become upset when their people are subjected to similar treatment? All nations must cease the kidnap game.
