He was an ordinary Aussie man filled with machismo attitudes and angry at multicultural changes occurring in his native land. One night, he sat home drinking, smoking pot, cursing and increasingly becoming furious at black people who now lived in his neighborhood. Finally, he grabbed a pole, stumbled out into night yelling at the top of his lungs, “these blacks are turning this town into the Bronx. I’m going to take my town back. I’m looking to kill the blacks.” Clinton Rintoull became increasingly angry and joined by a mate they found a Sudan immigrant on the streets and beat him to death with a pole.
It’s just another multicultural story from Australia but it could have occurred in a dozen places in the world where immigrants rub up against immigrants who arrived a century earlier.
