A basic premise of Nazi law was that if an individual had a single “drop of Jewish blodd,” then the individual was Jewish, Aparently, this is not the view of the Jewish gvovernment. Pnina tamano-Shata is a member of the Israel Knesset and offered to donate his blood, but was informed that it could not be accepted because he emigrated from Ethiopia when he was two years old. The government argues that since the HIV virus is found in African nations it can not accept blood from those who were born in African societies. I assume in all nations of the world, blood being donated is tested to ensure there is no HIV virus present.
Fortuantely, health Minister Yael German protested the policy and will demand changes. In other words, blood from Nazis is kosher, but not that of Africans!
