Dennis Rodman spent many years in the National Basketball Association where he dazzled fans, not only with his performance on the court, but with his wonderful daily transformations from being dark haired on Monday and a red headed on Wednesday. Dennis is a man for all seasons. For some reason, the leader of North Korea enjoys the company of Dennis, and I assume they spend hours shooting basketballs– when Kim Jong-un is not busy shooting missiles into the air. Anyway, Dennis headed once again to the wonderful land of North Korea in order to enjoy some time discussing world events –and basketball– with the pudgy little man who runs North Korea. Kim Jong-un the day before cancelled a visit by an American diplomat who wanted to seek release from jail of a tourist manager who was arrested on charges of attempting to destroy the land of Kim Jong-un. Dennis said the purpose of his visit was to “show the people around the world that we as Americans can actually get along with Korea.”
The underlying reason for this visit was not to get a man released from jail who is slowly dying, but something much more important. “I just want to meet my friend Kim, the marshal, and start a basketball league over there or something like that.” I wonder if Dennis will get a guided tour of North Korean prisons where he could give basketballs to those who are starving. After all, a few games of basketball go a long way to kill a day when you are slowly being killed.
So, tell me Dennis, will your arrive in red or blue or blond hair??
