Republican Speaker of the House, John Boehner, wants Americans to know that he will vote for the man running for president who has been the most successful in life. “The American people do not want to vote for a loser. They don’t want to vote for someone who has not been successful. Mitt Romney has a chance to show the American people that they, too, can succeed.” We agree with him. Let me offer the story of two men.
Candidate B: Born to mother who was divorced and, at points on welfare.” He worked hard in school, got grants to attend college and secured scholarships for his academic career. Although during his life there was not much money in the house, he worked hard, got a law degree and finally became president of the USA.
Candidate R: Born into a family in which his father was a multi-millionaire and headed a major auto company. Never had to work, all his college costs were paid by dad. The fame of his father ensured he would be accepted at Harvard. Went straight from Harvard to a company which took over firms, fired people and make a lot of money.
So, which of these men exemplifies the American dream–B or R?
