England is now experiencing the largest reduction in application for college since records began being kept. The government tripled cost of tuition for college from $5,000 to $15,000 a year making it impossible for thousands of middle class and poor students to attend college. The drop is estimated at 8.5% and we can assume this means thousands of students will never attend college. Prime Minister David Cameron believes the best way to handle a recession is to fire people, raise rates on college and, above all, do NOT raise taxes for the wealthy!
This is capitalism in action. Not only protect the wealthy, but make certain their children will get a good college education. As for middle class and poor children, you are on your own. After all, this is what capitalism is all about.
