CNN- Why Are You Anti-China Asks China?

The Chinese government continued its relentless media campaign to defend actions in Tibet by blaming CNN reporting as biased and unfair. The China Daily insisted there were “distorted reports” and false captions under pictures which attempted to distort the reality of what was occurring. For example, they cite a CNN picture which allegedly claims people are running in front of trucks when the actual footage shows them throwing stones at the trucks. “Just the same day, a picture on the BBC website showing Chinese riot police officers helping medical staff move a wounded person into an ambulance was captioned, ‘there is a heavy military presence in Lhasa.’ The Chinese characters ‘Jijiu'(First Aid) on the ambulance are so conspicuous and even for those who don’t know Chinese characrters well, the Red Cross signs on the ambulance were also obvious to see.”

There is no question China used brutal force to impose its will on the people of Tibet, but, most probably reporting on the Tibet situation contained numerous mistakes on the part of western media. Western media mistakes only strengthen the feelings of Chinese people they are being subjected to historic prejudice and it most probably helped create the desire of thousands of Chinese bloggers to post images and comments defending their nation’s actions in Tibet.

The western world has to be cognizant of a growing sense of Chinese nationalism on the part of thousands of Chinese bloggers who are using access to the Internet as a means of championing their nation.

I have been anti-China for many years now, never mind the fact that human rights are non-existent, they have four provinces in the top ten of most polluted places on earth, some how they manage to have approximate waiting list of 6 weeks for most human organs, (allegedly harbouring mobile death squads in order to harvest such organs from prisons), newborn baby girls tossed in the street like rubbish (photo published in Irish newspaper 2000/2001), there is no animal/insect/marine life that is safe from their kitchens (dogs & cats trussed up in small cages in order to be bought to eat), if they cant make it they fake it, they are still trying to make fake ostrich leather products, so far they haven’t managed it but I suppose one must watch this space, shipping out “legal” highs to UK hippy shops in which several teenagers have died, thankfully the UK government has sought to ban those drugs however that wont stop the chinese from inventing a new one to sell on the internet, the ANC has finally got into bed with China and now rhino poaching has increased at an alarming rate in the last 18 months because they still think that by killing a rhino and eating the contents of its horn that somehow their erection will stay up for 12 hours or more, incidentally, the horn is made up of keratin and hair, how about telling them to chew their own fingernails which will have just about the same effect, but at least it means the rhino will be safe, do I really need to go on? China may have some virtues hidden away somewhere, however at the rate they are going with the pollution of their land, massive deforestation, their lax & corrupt officials who do not monitor the toxic waste being dumped into their water supplies etc etc it is not surprising that they have no respect for man nor beast. Let us just watch them slowly poison themselves to death and quickly put themselves out of their misery – before they kill the rest of us!!
