Drones For Future

Throughout the history  of the United States of America our military forces were rather small in comparison to other nations. In 1939, Rumania had a larger armed force than America. Less than one half of one percent of the American people were involved in wars fought in Afghanistan or Iraq. The trend has been toward more use of technology and less of human power. The latest example involved tests by the United States Navy which is experimenting with landing drones on aircraft carriers. If this is successful the Navy will proceed with other technological advances in which robots do the fighting and humans step aside.

Landing on a ship that is moving in turbulent waters is complex. The drone landing is simply another step  on the road to eliminating humans from fighting wars. One immediate benefit would be not having to use land bases in foreign countries from which drones would take off. I wonder if drones would get access to the G.I.Bill of Rights??
