To those who seek peace in the Middle East, the current madness of death and destruction has resulted in the end of words. Frankly, there is nothing more to say about either side in this conflict. Hamas shouts words of hate and unreason demanding the world recognize it as the voice of Palestinians. Israel insists the world is filled with anti-Semites seeking the complete destruction of a Jewish state. President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority has lost any power as well as respect from Palestinians who blame him for the slaughter now proceeding in Gaza. UNRWA Commissioner General Pierre Krahenbuhl has reached the point of utter desperation in dealing with either Hamas or the IDF. “The scenes of carnage and human suffering that we witnessed at our elementary school in Beit Hanon were so appalling and intolerable that it is difficult to find the words to convey my indignation.”
He pointed out that rockets were discovered in schools, left by courtesy of Hamas. He contacted the IDF and asked for a pause in action-“approval for that never came.” Hamas places troops in locations where there are civilians in order to ensure civilians die. The IDF is determined to wipe out all tunnels, and insists civilians are told to leave. Pray tell, leave and go where?? Does anyone doubt that a new generation of suicide bombers are being born in this madness?
An Israeli woman tried to read the names in Hebrew of children who died in Gaza. The Israel Broadcasting Authority banned her reading of names and ages. It was defined as “politically controversial.”
A year from now or two years from now, suicide bombers will kill Israelis. THAT is politically controversial. In the end, suffer the children for crimes of adults!
