Georgia On Our Mind

Mikheil Saakashvilli has been president of Georgia since 2002 which means he has grown accustomed to having Georgians regard him as THEIR leader. However, along came a man named Bidzina Ivanishvili, who happens to have a spare billion or so to throw into the electoral kitty, and he now claims to have secured the majority vote of those who cast ballots. It is still uncertain if that translates into a majority in Parliament. However, he did secure 63% to his opponent’s 27%.

Naturally, Mikheil charges the election was stolen by money. Of course, he is still embarrased by disclosure of video and pictures of guards in Georgia prisons who tortured and abused prisoners. You lost, Mikheil, now step aside and allow democracy to reign.
