With each passing day it increasingly becomes difficult separating the “good guys” from the “bad guys” in Afghanistan. The Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA), a charity group, runs hospitals in that country which focus on helping people. A group of “foreign troops” entered their hospital, “searched all the rooms, even bathrooms” and broke down doors in search of militants. They tied up staff members during their rampage through a hospital and made patients leave wards and beds so they could be searched. The staff was told by members of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) they must report suspected militants to the authorities.
I guess the good news is the ISAF now believes the Taliban like bathrooms in which to hide since that indicates they seek to be clean. One can only wonder how a doctor or nurse while conducting surgery can determine if the patient is a member of the Taliban. Does that mean if they decide by the look of their kidney they are a militant, the operation should cease or should they remove the liver and turn it over to the ISAF?
