Every so often the Mitt man drops guard and reveals his true inner self. We print his latest opus which reveals an attitude concerning poor that is definitely welcomed by members of the Tea Party. “I’m in this race because I care about Americans. I’m not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net for them. If it needs repair, I’ll fix it. I’m not concerned about the very rich, they’re doing fine. I’m concerned about the very heart of America, the 90% or 95% of American who right now are struggling.”
I guess it all depends how one defines, “poor.” If you lack a job, that does not mean you are poor. If you cannot make house payments, that does not mean you are poor. If you can’t pay for health care, that does not mean you are poor. The important thing is–do you carry Christ in your heart? If so, you can never be poor in spirit. OK, so maybe you are not so wealthy in paying the bills. But, you got Christ.
