Is A Libyan Moderate, Moderate?

Western nations felt proud to destroy the dictatorship of Muammar Gaddafi and cheered when rebel forces were triumphant. However, in Tunisia and Egypt, those behind the Arab Spring have come to power and it appears their “spring” is a cold winter for Christians and secular people. Mahmoud Jibril, head of the National Forces Alliance is being hailed as a “moderate”who defeated extreme clerical Muslim groups.

Mr. Jibril, the “moderate,” announced that Sharia law would be part of national law,but it would not be the only law. This is what passes for “moderate” emerging from the Arab Spring. We doubt if secular Libyans desire a national law in which Sharia law is a key component.
