Last month there were daily reports from Libya of NATO planes striking forces of Muammar Gaddafi and hints the dictator was on his way to the Riviera. However, things have quieted down and the world has other things on its mind. In Egypt, Muslims are killing Christians, in America unemployment continues to make it impossible for people to have a decent life, and in California, the Terminator has ended his marriage with the Kennedy girl. Over in Libya, there are some guys and gals who want freedom or something like that, but they lack the arms and leadership to overthrow Gaddafi.
It increasingly becomes obvious, the Libya war was another of those fifteen minutes of interest to the world. Frankly, I doubt if any American in the past week spent a minute thinking about Libya.
