Once upon a time, a long, long time ago, there was a powerful Muslim nation which had conquered a Jewish nation. The Muslim occupiers slowly but consistently took over land owned by Jews and gave the land to Muslims. They insisted the Koran and God had given them jurisdiction over the land. The leader of the Jewish nation wanted the Muslims to cease taking their land.
The head of the Jewish nation insisted his soldiers would continue to take over land owned by Muslims, but he was willing to talk with Jewish leaders. The Jewish leaders said they were willing to negotiate but the Muslims had to cease taking over their land until some final arrangement was made as to who owns what.
The spokesperson for the Muslim leader said he would continue to take land and if there were no negotiations, then it was the fault of Jews.
Now, you know why Palestinian leaders are frustrated at claims by the Israel government of their refusal to negotiate!
