Meir Dagan, former head of Mossad, told an audience the dumbest action that could be taken by the government of Israel would be to launch a war with Iran. He termed such proposals, “the stupidest thing I have ever heard.” Unlike the strike at Iraq’s nuclear facilities in the 1980s, Iran poses a completely different situation since it has dispersed its nuclear plants throughout the country. It simply is impossible to wipe out their entire atomic weapon centers in one massive air attack. Of course, those proposing such air strikes are quite optimistic about destroying nuclear facilities, but as Dagan points out: “it will be followed by a war with Iran. It is the kind of thing where we know how it starts, but not how it will end.” Of course, Iran has the capability of firing thousands of rockets and missiles into Israel and their assault would be supported by missile attacks from Lebanon where Hizbullah has stored thousands of such weapons.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his idiot Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, love to pout and shout defiance toward the Middle East and toward the world with cries of “Never Again.” Easy to say, “Never Again,” hard to say, “I know how it will end.”
