Japan Leads World in Centenarians

By October of this year, there will be 32,295 people in Japan who have reached the age of 100, a figure that far surpasses any such number in countries of the world. It is estimated about 85% of centenarians in Japan are female and the oldest person has attained the age of 113. In 1963, there were 113 people who had reached the age of 100. Something must be going right in Japan to have these amazing age figures.
