The complicated world of Syria has become even more complicated with the abduction of 11 Shiites from Lebanon who were on a pilgrimage in Syria when someone kidnapped the group. President Bashar al-Assad claims kidnappers were members of the Free Syrian Army which seeks to overthrow him. The Free Syrian Army issued a statement insisting their forces had not kidnapped anyone. In Syria, Hassan Nasrallah, head of Hizbullah which supports Assad, urged his followers not to resort to violence against Lebanese Sunni folk.
At this point we are certain that 11 Lebanese were kidnapped or not kidnapped. At this point we are certain there is talk of violence in Lebanon against Sunnis, but Nasrallah is urging peace and quiet. In other words, no one knows what the heck happened, who did or did not kidnap someone, and who is or is not going to resort to violence against Lebanese Sunni.
Keep tuned to learn what is or is not happening!
