Mitt Does Not Get Gay Answer

Mitt Romney was doing his bit as a candidate by wandering through a diner shaking hands and chatting with people. He came to Bob Garon, a Vietnam war  veteran, and inquired about his tour in Vietnam. Garon has a male spouse and asked the former governor if he would repeal the New Hampshire law which legalizses gay marriage. Mitt insists marriage is “between a man and a woman.” Mr. Garon responded; “It’s good to know how you feel that you do not believe  everyone is entitled to his constitutional rights.”

Mitt responded that at the time the Constitution was written “it was pretty clear marriage was between a man and a woman.” Of course, at that time, it was pretty clear that slavery was legal. It was pretty clear that women did not have the right to vote. Yes, Mitt, go back to those days.
