Mohamed Morsi spent years in the United States and certainly learned something about a free election-he left before arrival of the idiotic Tea Party folks. Secretary of State John Kerry made clear to the Egyptian leader of the importance to work with all political parties and seek to form a coalition. Kerry made clear there would not be the necessary International Monetary Fund loan nor would there be an American loan if he did not seek to end partisan conflict and work with a broad based coalition. Of course, Mohamed Morsi is a dedicated member of the Muslim Brotherhood and has pledged to work for his party’s goals regardless if in so doing he aids peace in Egypt.
There can not be a compromise with Morsi that does not include creation of a broad-based coalition government. Anything less will only result in chaos and conflict within Egypt. An MB government is the road to violence.
