There were demonstrations in the Sudan by members of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement(SPLM) who are tired of being ignored by the ruling Sudan National Congress Party) led by President Omar al-Bashir. At the heart of the dispute is failure on the part of Bashir to give any group, from southern Sudan or from Darfur, the semblance of freedom of expression. He runs a one party state and uses death to destroy those who dare challenge his power. There are many Muslims who support Bashir and have made him into a figure who stands up against the West and therefore must have some good in him.
Isn’t it about time that Muslims carefully examine men who they hail as heroes and recognize in too many cases they are simply too
