Every so often in America a story gains vast publicity and within days just about every newspaper, every magazine, and every aspect of the media is discussing the story. A football player for Notre Dame named Manti T’eo had a girl friend, or he really did not have a girl friend. The girl who did not exist died or cancer which is rather difficult given that she never was alive. Every sportscaster is discussing this non-story.
We award the NON-STORY OF THE YEAR AWARD TO NOTRE DAME AND ITS PLAYERS. HOPEFULLY, MOST OF THEM ACTUALLY HAVE REAL GIRL FRIENDS.
