President Obama is able to express a powerful voice when the issue of gay rights appears in the world. He blasted in strong words the action of President Yoweri Museveni who is ready to sign off on a new law in Uganda which allows the government to take away the rights of those who are gay. Obama warned Museveni that if he signed the new anti-homosexuality law it would “complicate our valued relationship” toward his nation. He made clear “why I am so deeply disappointed that Uganda will enact legislation that would criminalize homosexuality.”
The real culprits in this situation are American religious figures and organizations which foster hatred of homosexuality in Africa. They feel helpless to get across such hatred in America so they pour their money into African nations which are more receptive to their message of hate and anger.
