A few months ago, Republican leaders were upset at rising gasoline prices and predicted that since gasoline was now costing over $4 a gallon it meant the end of the Obama administration. They blamed President Obama for failing to drill, drill, drill. Today, in St. Louis I paid $2.98 for a gallon of gasoline. Much to my surprise I read that Republicans insist that President Obama should NOT seek credit for the drop in gasoline prices. It was due to an act of God, or due to the hot air coming from Mitt Romney or due to the bullshit power stemming from Herman Cain.
I now understand Republican thinking:
1. Gasoline prices rise due to actions of Barack Obama.
2. Gasoline prices decline NOT due to actions of Barack Obama.
This is all very clear to me.
