There is trouble in the state of Azerbijan stemming from efforts by its dictator to halt the spread of Islamic ideas. His security forces have arrested, beaten and killed many Islamists who dare to oppose his reign of terror. Iran, a notable adherent of human rights, is concerned about suppression of free speech and the right of religious freedom. Iranian Chief of the Armed Forces, General Hassan Firouzabadi, issued a warning to Azerbijan about its efforts to control their Shiite population.
Naturally, the source of all problems in Azerbijan according to Iran is the state of Israel. Somehow, Israeli agents are working with the government of Azerbijan to suppress Shiite clerics. One frequently wonders if there was no Israel, who would petty Islamic dictators blame for problems in their country?
