I confess to being among those guys in the early fifties who jumped at the opportunity to glance at pictures of nude women when Playboy first made its appearance. In those “good old days,” it was not even possible in a film to show a breast, let alone a naked gal. Playboy was our Bible which opened doors into parts of women we could never see–unless we dated “one of those loose women.” Playboy Enterprises has decided to launch a new website which lacks any naked women in order to assist young men at work to sneak a peek at the magazine. The new Playboy site will contain humor, articles, and comments concerning the new man. For example, what are initial signs a guy has decided to get out of the chase for a woman– you know, things like wearing Velcro sneakers or pants with elastic waistbands. There is no question sneaking a look at a website which has pictures of pants and sneakers will not get any man in trouble at work.
Ah, but what will be missed? For those of us raised in a world in which open display of female parts was forbidden, we shall always remember Playboy for its Liberation Theology. It freed our minds from ignorance and allowed those hungering for a good look at a breast to fulfill night time dreams. The hell with pants and sneakers, up with the breast!
